Xylazine: The Newest Drug Threat

Xylazine is the newest drug threat. This drug is approved for use in veterinary medicine. It is used for sedation, analgesia, and relaxing muscles in animals. Xylazine is not approved for human use, yet, it is being mixed with fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin and is fueling overdoses. There is no known antidote for a xylazine overdose.
